Remedial massage & deep tissue

Remedial massage can bring relief to specific physical and emotional conditions, to minimise their impact on everyday life.  Through a series of targeted treatments and stretches, symptoms may improve or disappear completely. Through verbal, visual and physical assessment, we will create a structured treatment plan and consult with you every step of the way to ensure maximum benefit and relief.

Depending on the condition and its severity, initial treatments may target the immediate symptoms, before the underlying cause can be addressed. But we aren't going to string you along - generally, if you aren't experiencing relief or a noticeable improvement after three treatments, it's time to reassess the situation and we may suggest referral to a doctor or specialist.

Deep tissue massage is the more generalised aversion of remedial massage, using similar deep muscle release techniques like cross-fiber work and trigger point therapy to provide a more generalised all-over treatment.

Remedial & deep tissue massage may be beneficial in the treatment of:
Stress management, Fluid retention & edema, Circulatory problems, Muscle soreness, Decreased flexibility or mobility, Weight-related issues, Postural or gait issues, Alignment inconsistencies, Muscle tightness , General body aches, Arthritis, Stress, Headaches.

At lime & myrtle, we know the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone, but both are connected to the mind. By tackling physical conditions and limitations directly, massage can affect your mental and emotional wellbeing. Just taking the time to have a massage has its own benefits, but massage also has a way of getting the mind, body spirit connections firing, to encourage clarity, increased positive feelings of confidence and worth, and happiness.

Please note: some conditions require specialist medical assessment, diagnostics and treatment.  If you are experiencing severe, acute or sudden and unexpected symptoms from your condition or injury you should see your doctor or specialist before booking a treatment. If you are already under the care of a specialist for your condition, we can work with them to determine the safest, most effective treatment plan for you.
